A big thank you to Thomas W for giving us a chance at owning another superb knife from Kershaw. I won a Knockout from a contest he held, and it arrived today. I also received my ZT0350ZDP from New Graham yesterday.
The Knockout is just about the same size as the 0350, except that it has a much thinner profile, being a linerless framelock. I held out on getting a 0350 for a while, but pulled a trigger on the ZDP-bladed version. I have to say, the 0350 is smaller than I thought, but still feels comfortable to hold. Not as comfortable as the 0400 & 0200 since those are markedly bigger knives, but ergos are pretty good nonetheless.

Thanks again for the Knockout Thomas, and thanks to Annie @ New Graham too for the speedy processing and shipping of the 0350ZDP!

I'm increasingly becoming a fan of Kershaw and ZT, and will be adding a Knockout to the arsenal. Thanks Mr. T and gang for making some groovy knives.

wow. the knockout is very thin. combined with that low ride pocket clip i bet you cant tell you're even carrying it.

That thing is sweet. Love how thin it is, I'll have to get one of those asap. It sure would slide out of pocket REAL easy if it were still an aluminum scale (Love how easy my Boa is out of pocket) but you can't really go wrong with G10 either. Will be purchasing for sure Thomas.

Also, Dave I'd love to buy one from you when they're available. Let us know when/if you'll be getting these in stock!

I noticed the knockout on pre-order in a few places - anyone know when its due in stock?

I am wondering the same thing! I have been waiting for the knockout, piston and eschelon for a while!

that is a freakin SICK knife! When i first heard about i thought about getting one, i changed my mind now. I'm getting a few.

Enjoy gtek!

Sub-Frame Lock thoughts?

I am carrying it with me today, and the low-rider clip, thin profile and light weight make it just about disappear. I've had to check to see if it was still in my pocket while walking around. I have been flipping it open and closing it absentmindedly (watching youtube videos at work :) ) while in my office, and it's very easy to get used to this knife. It feels almost like a bigger Skyline, with the way the flipper is shaped, and how thin it is. The A/O is quite mild, and very well balanced. The ZTs and other large kershaws with Speedsafe have some "A/O "recoil" when you flip them, and for a knife the size of the Knockout, there is very little.

This new type of framelock is great. It is not too stiff, and looks to be much more robust than a linerlock (although one could argue that a good linerlock is just as strong as a framelock, and the differences in function for either one are a result of how the knife is held). It is as easy to disengage as a linerlock, but functions like a framelock. I haven't taken the Knockout apart, but it would seem to me that the sub-frame piece might be able to be replaced if it ever gets worn out.

Good job, Kershaw peeps!

Thanks for the pics, Gooey! Great score on that. I need to pick one up for myself soon.

Can't wait to try the sub framelock.

Cool - thanks for the review and pics.

I am thinking this will be my gift knife for my son and son-in-law this year if I can get them before Christmas

best regards -

Fixed that for you.
Thanks Thomas. I was under the impression that it was an aluminum frame with the steel Sub-Frame Lock. I think I read it on Knife Center's description. Well, now that I know it's G10, I'll absolutely be getting one.
