The last thing i need is another brand addiction. I had a storm 2 i liked, and currently have the jyd2. to be honest i preferred the storm2, but the new lower grind turns me off.

the leek is awesome. i don't normally like assists but this one's pretty smooth. doesn't pop out every time. assuming it needs break in?

factory edge is one of the best i've seen. the hollow grind with its relatively high secondary bevel just cuts on contact. this comin from a spyderco guy.

gonna have to get the d2 model for sure. one of the fancy lookin gold or black/gold would be nice. possibly the s30v model. this is terrible.

I've noticed that on most of my AO Kershaws , I've narrowed it down to how tight I am holding the handle and where I'm pressing with my fingers , if I'm near the bolster area it will sometimes fail to pop out.

Welcome to the addiction! The Leek is a great knife to start with. It's hard to beat Kershaw's quality for the price; I rely on my Kershaw's everyday, and they've never let me down.

My name is Elarski, and I'm a Kershawholic...

The Leek?!? You wasted your hard earned cash on one of those!? Do yourself a favor before you get sucked into buying any more of those things, just send it to me and I'll replace it with something of much better quality......um, I promise;)

Here is a sample of just a few Leeks that I've already accepted from other unsuspecting knife lovers who fell into the same trap as you. My door is always open, so when you need to unburden yourself of this inferior piece of workmanship, you know who to call...

Welcome to Kershaw!!
Cheers,

that gold one reminds me of johnny 5 at the end of short circuit 2. after the d2, i'll probably go for the g-10.

jm, didn't you almost suck someone in a whle back with that line? If it works, I'm gonna start using it!

I like the Leek, but it's a little too small for my hands to use on a regular basis. But that doesn't really matter, because Kershaw seems to have something for everyone, & then a few more. I "thought" I really liked the Blur, then I traded for a Groove & well, lets just say that I haven't stopped carrying the Groove since I got it over a week ago.

Now, I'm waiting for the RAM to come out. I can't wait for that one.

The Gold one is definitely cool, but I'd never use it. I'd be like Ten Bears in The Outlaw Josey Wales, when he was talking about his piece of rock candy...

"...it's just for lookin' at."

Nice Family there johnnymac44!

No Brad, it didn't work at all, which is why I'm still trying it on other people!! Gonna keep it up until the Leeks start flowing...into the mailbox that is!;)

Thanks for the kind words guys! And yes, Elarski, the gold one is JUST like ten bears!! I feel like Goldmember in Austin Powers, I like GOOOOOOOOOL-DA!! The look, the shmell, the text-ture!!
