Got my M390 PM3 today, but...

So, I jumped on the preorder list for the M390 PM3 at Bentobox, and it arrived today. I have one PM2 and a standard PM3 as well. So, I have a baseline for comparison. To me, the new one is locking up pretty late. I get nervous when I see this, because I wonder if just a little liner wear will push it overboard. What do you guys think of this?

I have an S30V PM3 and it has a similar lock-up. On a regular liner lock it would worry me, but with this compression lock I don't think its as much of an issue. The lock ramp on my blade is pretty steeply angled too, so it would take a fair bit of wear & tear to move any amount.
 
Thanks guys. I have to say, I've been repeatedly, pleasantly surprised by the PM3. It just drops in a pocket yet still feels good in my full medium hands. If used for what a light folder is supposed to be used for, it should last a long arse time.
 
Looks good to me too. I got mine as well. Gonna sand down the G10 behind the clip, and I will be good to EDC it! Hope my PM3 in Maxamet comes some time in 2018
 
Looks fine to me, enjoy it. I’m on the fence with this one since I love m390 and blue but not sure about the para 3.

It's not just a scaled down version of the PM2, I can say that. It definitely feels different, dare I say, perhaps better. At least for my purpose. They may have the same dimensions, but the Para 3 (there, I said it:)) being shorter, forces you to change your grip on it.

They're so darned cheap (the basic Para 3) that it's worth getting one and turning it around if you just can't get along with it. I hear a marriage analogy coming....

Nice, always eagerly awaiting the new toys!

What's funny, is that I have a PM2 in S110V and now the new Para 3 in M390, but they have a combo deal on those two exact knives on their site. Probably could have saved $30 or so... Love 'em both though.
