Got my Maratac 9290 and AAA lights. Wow, these are super nice.
Never had a nice light before. The AAA is amazing. I'm surprised
at how much light this little guy pumps out. The three light settings
is fun too. Though I like to use high mode just cause it's so impressive.

The 9290 is well built. At first I didn't see the great difference between
the high mode of the AAA which is suppose to be 62lm and the 9290
which is suppose to be 190lm. The difference is more apparent outside
at long distances. Looks like the 9290 has a lot more range.

So is that what having more Lumens does? Give the light more range,
brightness, or both? Cause in a small area/distance I can't see much
of a difference. I'm a light newbie. Maybe you guys can direct
me to some basic light info.

I'd say indoors you wont notice a spectacular difference because the 9290 beam is quite focused; a lot of those lumens are going in a very particular spot. Indoors/close range a lot of the illumination is done by the spill beam around the center spot. And the effects of different power levels on that is more sudtle.

Thanks. After reading a little more I realize some lights depending on their
lenses, will throw the light further and/or concentrate the light on one spot.

The AAA has a lot more flood/spill and the 9290 is very focused. I tried the
lights outdoors in a dark tree at night and that's where you see the 9290
outshine the AAA.

Got the AAA in Natural. It's a great light. I really don't need the 9290
but I think I'll keep it cause it's too cool to give up :)

I have some pics but only from a crappy cell camera. Doesn't do it
justice. Will get some nice ones up shortly.

I got the iTP single stage version of the AAA light in stock yesterday. I was impressed with how tiny the little buggers were, not to mention the amount of light they put out. They did a really good job on these.

Oh no. I just ordered a C7 from you and I appreciate the email confirmation on changing the order before it got out the door.

The specs on the A3 EOS Upgrade version are fantastic and I believe it would (make that WILL) be a great replacement for my ARC AAA light. Too bad I didn't get it included in the order. :grumpy: Next time, I'm going to spend more time shopping.

Looks like I'll be "talking" to you all again real soon. :)

I got the same one.

Flip that clip around, and it makes a perfect hand-free light when attached to a cap brim.

I ordered both as well.

The AAA is an amazing little light :) Great EDC light if anyone is in the market, excellent value.

The AA is a good light as well, stays in my FatBoy.
