What are you waiting for? Can't wait to use the new features especially the ability to post pix directly.

I tried to register this morning for Gold Membership, I entered all my information and hit Submit...then I got this Browser Alert..."Security failure. The server reply is invalid."

What the heck does that mean?

Okay, I went back and Registered through Netscape rather than through AOL and that seems to have worked.

I'm registered and I'm GOLDEN! :)

Phil - got the same problem - but no Netscape to fix it. I emailed Spark, hopefully we'll get it straightened out...

I just completed my Gold Membership, well worth the small cost to support BladeForums.

Thanks to Spark for making it possible to continue offering this service to world wide knife fans.

Regards,
FK

Unfortunately, the sign-up page, off the announcements still doesn't list a snail-mail address to send money to. And what's this with $6 for "shipping"?

Paul

I went for the Premium, I could barely afford that, the Gold was too much for me to justify, I don't sell my knives. Sorry Spark.:(

When you sign up select the very last shipping option called services or something $00.00. Then click recalculate. It will then display your membership choice with no shipping. Select pay by personal check or money order. The address will be sent in your email confirmation. I just signed up fro my premium memebership and am sending my check snail mail today.

Today I turned plastic into GOLD (and they said it couldn't be done!!).

If I spent this much time anywhere else I'd have to pay rent :D

Shot mine in for the GOLD! So, is it really gonna be 2-4 days before it works?

Hank

I started out thinking "I don't really need any of those extra features". And in fact I don't have any use for any of them.

Guess I'll do the $20 membership though. I truly enjoy bladeforums.

Mike

Also went for the GOLD. I look forward to the new goodies, but mostly as a way to support the forums.

This is the major reason I went for the GOLD as well. As of right now, I have no intention of selling knives. I'm not even lured by some of the "premium benefits" I'll be receiving (some are nice "fringe benefits"). I just needed an excuse to pay the "pauper." (Kevin, that was said in the kindest, most well-meaning way! :) )

I have no idea what Kevin personally makes from 1SKS and BladeForums, but the goal is not minimum wage! A business owner should be able to pay all his bills, pay a competitive wage to his employees, and then have enough left to live comfortably, save for retirement, put his kids through college, and finance a really nice hobby (boating, skiing, traveling, etc.)....at a minimum!

Kevin offers an outstanding "service." He shouldn't be doing this as a charity. Just my opinion.

I couldn't get the site to work, so I called up and went GOLD via telephone.

BTW, how do I get an upgrade from GOLD to PRIMADONNA? :)

I signed up for a premium membership today. I felt it was the least I could do.

A question though. If I wanted to change my order to a Gold how would I go about doing this. I used the order form and don't know if sending another will cancel the first order or not. Spark, help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Heck, I figure the extra $10.00 won't break me, but might help Spark out a little more.:)
