I received my Moran today with the tactical kydex sheath. I got it from Chai Cutlery. Thank you for the great deal James! I really like this knife. It is definately a real bargain right now. One thing though. I dont mean to cause controversy but when I do have to resharpen this knife I will probably go with the conventional edge and not even attempt to do the Moran edge. I think the Moran edge is cool, but for someone like me that is a novice at sharpening its not very user friendly. On another thread Sal said the next Moran would be conventional edge. I agree. For a user knife the conventional edge would be better for the ELU that isnt a sharpening expert. If I were not going to use the knife I would prefer the Moran edge, since his name is on the knife.
Speaking of which. Are the Morans destined to be collectors items or not? Especially since no more will be made like this. Opinions?

Does it have an actual edge bevel, or is the convex grind right from the spine to the edge?

I recieved my second spydie for a week ago, the
Moran, and I think it is one of the best buys I've ever made.
Got it from WWW.ULTOUT.COM for $57 including shipping to Sweden. Thank you Mr Hanks

There can't possibly be any sharper knife right out of the box, pretty impressing.
It is flat ground from the spine down to the secondary bevel, or the "sharping area", which is convex.

Cousin Cinnamon, how long after your order did the knife arrive? I'm just curious, as I just ordered a Moran from ultout.com as well. 'Course, it wont' be quite the same, as I live in 'the States'; but still I'm a little curious. Thanks

That's a pretty good price for a Moran but Discount Knives just did better by me. I got one last week for $49.98 plus $3 and change shipping. It arrived only three or four days later.

I also got a Wegner this week from Top of Texas. It is my first liner-lock and I really like it so far. I've already used it out in the back yard to slice off a few hedge branches that were shading things I didn't want shaded. That partially serrated blade is just the ticket for cutting through live wood. I like the shape and feel so much that I may have to try to pick up a Jr. for those occasions when the full size is just too much.

Yo, O_D!

I got my Moran about 6 days after I ordered it. That was a lot faster than I expected, considering the knife had to travel all the way from the States to Sweden. All my future knife purchases will probably be done at Ultimate Outdoors.

Thanks Cousin Cinnamon. It's been 4 days for me now, and it didn't come in today. Not that it really matters, though. I'm sure it'll get here soon. I also have a River City Sheath ordered that hopefully will get here soon after the blade.
