Came in the mail from Tomar this afternoon. We're having a Wrath-of-God thunderstorm at the moment so I can't get out to do anything cool with it right now. I will give my initial thoughts on it, though.
1) It's stupid sharp out of the box. I accidentally ran a finger across the edge and took a chunk of skin off. Didn't draw blood, but came close, with very little pressure involved.
2) I got the micarta scales with it, which are good quality and really dress up the appearance of the knife, as well as improving the ergos. Well worth the extra $$$.
3) The knife rattles in the sheath, which has been gone over at great length, but the retention is good and the sheath is sturdy. It also has tons of holes for paracord lashing or other attachments.
4) The bottle opener/wire cutter is pretty cool. Haven't tried it on any wire yet, but it opened a bottle of Ellie's Brown Ale with alacrity and enthusiasm.
Overall, this is a great little knife. Big enough to serve as my main fixed blade in the woods, but still compact enough to EDC around town and the like. Becker/Ka-Bar nailed this one.
