Finally got this in and peanut butter scales on it, already.

Got it for a song, under $40, brand new and shipped.

Looking good! Getting excited for mine that should be here in a day or two, I got the same deal, what a ridiculously good deal!

Congrats! Can't see the picture, but as I have one on my belt right now, I'm pretty sure I know what it looks like. :p

What will you be putting in the pouch on the sheath? Will you be stripping the skin on the blade?

My SOG PowerPlier will go in the pouch.
I'm on the fence about removing the coating. I'm taking it on a family camping trip this weekend and will most likely decide after that.

You could try sanding it smoother first.

Also, a thin strip of leather, about 1.5"×8", with half tucked into the plastic liner and the other half behind it will help greatly with retention and stopping any rattling.

A good idea.
Though, my BK 11's coating hasn't bothered me much.
I've still got my eye on a BK 24, though-because, you know, 2 Beckers isn't enough.

+1 TravisH.

I sanded the finish down but have not stripped it. It's getting worn away and dinged up in ways that make me glad I didn't strip it completely, but I'm giving a pretty good workout since I got it. You can also fit a little maglite solitaire in there with the multitool. I can slip it in next to my SOG Paratool.

I just pulled the trigger on one of these. What a screaming deal. I like my BK-16 so much that I needed the 15 to keep it company.
