nickel smooth buff horn damasscus. Man is it nice looking and sharp! My only disapointments , the pattern on the blade and the (designers choice) but its still a beauty....TOM

I never had too much interest in the Damascus blades. Just not that great at being a collector I guess as I use most all of what I've got around ...Am I correct at assuming that you can get truly gorgeous Damascus or just basically marginal Damascus as the luck of the draw is what determines what you get?...Gotta admit that I've seen some absolutely beautifully patterned Damascus that I would find really hard to turn into an EDC...Sure would like to see your's too Tom...:)

Wow. That's one of the nicest looking customs I've seen. I actually like the pattern in the blade a lot, as opposed to really elaborate damascus.

Nice knife. Do you plan on using it, or is it one for the collection?

Did anyone else notice that the rockerbar on that Damascus bladed knife is different from other 110's??? There's no "tooth" on the end...

bigfish44 - does the blade have a "notch" in the tang??? How does the blade lock in the open position???

I think you're seeing a strip of reflection of the red surface on the bolster. Look at the other bolster to see what I mean.

Normally the notch is not visible. I have one 110 that has a thinner lock bar than normal (or maybe the notch is cut deeper, depending on how you look at it), which I am thinking about sending in. All of my other 110s do not reveal the notch when opening.

it is the way the blade is not fully open that it dont show as the lock button on the rear is not showing either... hay chicken email me would you ... it is in profile

Wow, both of your 110 customs are making my heart beat faster!!! The old buck fever again. "I like them both". However, the wife would kill me if I buy another Buck knife now. Then she would sell off my collection to you guys cheap! So i'll just waite a month or two.....

It was oversanded on the backsanding operation. The rockers are fineblanked and do not vary in size more that +-.001

You're right!...Whew!...That's a relief!...

I had visions of slamming that thing into a picnic table and amputating 4 fingers... :p :D

as damascus is two types of carbon steel welded it WILL RUST if good care of it is not taken (wax works well) and it can delamate if abused... + side it is sharp, holds an edge and easy to refrish the edge.

Thanks for all the replys guys. At first I was going to put this one up but decided it's atool and needs to be carried. It will see alot less use than my 560 witch is my edc and my favorite model buck made, and I wish would make again.I use the custom as a semi formal knife.......bigfish
