The spring assist will not even open it to the lock up position....im calling Kershaw now..bummed
 
When was your knife made? Stored closed? You can try loosening your pivot but your torsion bar may be bent.
 
Sorry to hear it but Kershaw is known for great service. Stinks to have this kind of trouble but it happens. Please report back on developments, good or bad, will be interesting to hear.
 
Try all that was stated above, also if you do not get a good push on the flipper it won't always open completely. I have had old ones that the bar bent in and would do this. If it just needs a torsion bar call them up and they will mail you a new one free of charge!

Yea its unlocked :) it just seems weak, I called Kershaw, they are sending me a brand new one in exchange :) other than that it seems to be well made and sharp ! I just got a Camillus Sizzle for free !
 
The Torsion Bar over time becomes weak and has trouble opening the knife..I always ask Kershaw for Torsion bars so when the time comes when I need one I will have it. You probably got a knife that had been sitting for awhile.. Glad Kershaw was able to help you out.. There CS is great!
