I got my new nives today, a Benchmade 710 and a Kershaw comboedge mini cyclone, and i couldnt be more pleased. The Benchmade has silky smooth opening, a little too smooth i had to tighten the pivot so it no longer classifies as a gravity knife. It is also extremely sharp and the lockup is as solid as a rock no blade play at all. The Mini cyclone opens extremely fast, its a little stiff in AO mode but that's no big deal. It also came uber sharp and and without blade play. These are by far my favorite knives out of what i have, and i recomend them to anyone who does not have them. The Mcusta MC-1 I ordered is coming in on monday. Any thoughts? I'll post mine when i get it.

Just a few questions about sharpening these. Will the sharpmaker sharpen Kershaw style serrations? And should i only use the corners or both the corners and the flats when sharpening my 710?

Good choices on some great knives! I would use the corner's of the stones for the Kershaw and the Benchmade both. The 710 has a slight recurve and the corners of the Sharpmaker stones shine on the sharpening of the recurve style blade. On straight edge blades that are not serrated you can use the corners to cut a little faster and then finish on the flats. I expect you will greatly enjoy both knives, and I would love to hear your opinions on the Mcusta after you recieve it.

Congrats! The 710 is great! Did you get the newer one with improved g-10 scales that are more matte finish or the ones with a more polished finish?
