I thought I would post up some pics of the RD7 I had Justin build me. It is basically a standard RD7 but done in satin finish and with blue/black G10 scales instead of the standard brown or black micartas. Don't laugh at my lack of picture taking ability please...I already know I suck at it!

By the way, Justin was great to deal with and I love the knife. I can't wait to take it hog hunting!

Nice knife. Love the color of the handle. Man, I need to win the lottery or something. The last knife I bought was a Mercworx Equatorian Chili. I was just on the busse knife website, now I want a few of those as well. The wife isnt going to be happy about this, but what she doesnt know wont hurt her right???

Tolly, that is a thing of beauty. The Kimber and S.A. are not too shabby either.

After messing around with my new RD7 for the last couple of hours I decided to order and RD9 and a Little bird both with the same blue/black G10.

THAT is one sweeeeet Ranger!!! CONGRATS on a great score!!! Ranger knives ARE awesome.

Guys, out of respect for Justin I would rather not say what I paid for it here on a public forum. I hope y'all understand where I am coming from on that issue, as there were a lot of factors that went into the price that Justin gave me since he is doing two more custom knives and one more standard knife along with this one. Kind of a package deal. I can tell you that a standard RD7 is $99.00 and Justin charges $10-$15 more for satin finish, then if you want a different handle material other than one of the standard two colors the price would go up according to what the materials cost Justin. If it is just a different color micarta or an easy to get common G10 material my guess is that it would probably be about $7-$15 extra. If you want wood scales the price could go up quite a bit more. Justin will also use material that you have if you want to send it to him, that is what I am doing on my Dad's RD7 that will have a Mesquite burl handle. You will have to add a few dollars shipping to the total...Oh ya, his prices on the RD series knives include a sheath as well. I would really encourage any of you that are thinking about buying a Ranger knife to call Justin and talk to him about it. He is the easiest guy in the world to work with even if you don't know anything about knives. Chances are you will find out you can get an awesome knife in a couple of days that will do anything you ask of it, or have him customize one just for you and still get it in less time then it takes most knifemakers to return your phone calls and get it at an unbelievable price. At the very least send him an E-mail letting him know what you are looking for and he will respond to you promptly with an accurate price that won't change when it comes time to actually build the knife and pay for it like it does with a lot of knifemakers.

I recently dealt with Justin on a custom. I don't know where he finds the time to make knives and keep up with all the emails. He responded to every query I had, I almost felt guilty bothering him so much, but he pounced on every question with a quick response. He seems to be on top of his game.

+1 on the Ranger experience, Justin was most professional, and I have never gotten a knife as fast buying online, and this was a custom! Amazing service. I'll be getting more as well.

Justin is making quite a name for himself based on his blades and awesome service. I haven't ordered my custom yet but he replied quickly to all of my questions. Great customer service is the best thing you can have.
