now, i am not the typical forumite that spends $500-$2000 on a watch (keep in mind i just turned 16) so i ordered a Fossil Relic Wet blue face off of ebay a few days ago. it does everything i need it to do, including military time, day of the week, day of the month, standard time, and water resistant to 100m. it was only fifty bucks so i thoguht it was a bargain. oh well, just wanted to share.

Congrats on the new watch.
Isn't it great getting excited over a new purchase; knife, watch etc.
I think you've got the makings of a great watch collector in you.

Sounds like a nice watch!

I got my wife a Powerpuff Girls watch by Fossil. Very nice. Unfortunately, she shattered the crystal. Guess I need to send it back to fossil...

Clay,

I see 2 problems with the watch that you bought for your wife:

1. It's a "PowerPUFF" for christ-sake! Have you ever known anything called "Puff" to be tough?.:D.

2. It's a GIRL's watch...NOT a WOMAN's watch. All of us married guys KNOW how tough our wives can be!.:D.

Next-time, buy her a STURDY "Ladies" Seiko or Citizen Dive Watch!.:p.
 
I have a Fossil big tick, and I like it a lot. Not the most expensive watch but people do notice it.

Also, Fossil has an 11 year warrantee on most of their products, difinitely give them a call.

Thanks for the link. Very nice watch. I went to the Fossil outlet store awhile back. I only found about 7 watches I wanted. :) I'm waiting for fossil to make a jumping hands watch. :)

Great pic!

Dann, the last two watches she had she lost, so I don't trust her with a really good watch yet. I have an axiom re: tools, knives, watches, etc : "If you tend to lose [whatever], buy cheap ones; if you tend to break [whatever], buy higher quality ones"

And the Powerpuff Girls are tough. Just ask Mojo Jojo...
 
the one in the picture isn't an exact match...just little things like the number font and shape of the dashes are different.

good advice CD!
