When I got home today I found a priority mail package from TOMAR'S KABAR'S with my name on it.:D Inside was a new BK-9, with a BK-13 tucked away attempting to hide in the pouch on the front. I felt the immediate urge to go chop and hack on something. So I quickly secured it to a shoulder bag with alice clips and hiked back in the woods for some "theraputic" chopping action.I was really impressed by the keen edge it had out of the box (the bk-13 as well). After chopping and whittling for about a half hour I checked and it could still shave hair on my arm. One thing I did notice is that I need a lanyard so I can choke down on the handle and not send it flying. I only had time for a couple quick picts. I can't wait to take it out for more woodland destruction.
This one's a keeper.

YES BK9 rocks! I'm just crazy about mine.I would post pics of mine but I'm to stupid
and don't know how to post them yet.
enjoy your BK9.

Got my 9 for an early birthday present for Jan., I like it alot and the feel is good in the hand. Anyone notice that the handle scales feel smaller than the BK7 from Camillus? I have that one also.

I handled one from fellow BF forumite - Cmdr249 on Saturday. I had my doubts about the grips, thinking they would be small for some reason. The campanion and BK9 fit me like a glove. Wonderful grips on that thing. I really have to wait until my custom orders from different BF-makers have all come in, but the BK9 is definitely my next knife. Absolutely wonderful fit and finish! The BK-9 has to be one of the best values out there today!

IMO the BK9 is a really terrific knife. I have 2 Camillus BK9's that I just won't part with.

Certainly the new version is one of the great values in large knives today.
