Knock on the door, pkg.open it & its my SAK S18!OK....time to ck it out! Love it & lock is NOT a problem! Only thing I would change is the file....too small...but....I'll make it work! Think I've found the "perfect"SAK! No need to buy anymore !

Glad to see a happy man with a knife. We'll stand by for loving pics of knife going about life with you :)

Guys,
I originally made made it sound like the S18....was a lock! There were TWO other contenders,JK almost had me getting a EXECUTIVE...I liked it's setup...nothing to really dislike! The other close choice was the EXPLORER,liked the direct drive Phillips screw driver....HATED the magnifying glass!
So after a lot of thought I went with the S18!All I've used it for "so far "is the blade! I'm curious to see IF the S18 will replace my beloved small traditional stockman! JK,you almost got me!!
Jim

I like the S18, but I gotta have an inline phillips like God intended for all SAKs. So my fave is the Explorer Plus. But I would not turn down an Evo S18 if someone gave me one.

JK,
LOL....Yeah,
'NEXT TIME".....In the back of your RETIREMENT way of life of easy living & no rush for anything & ......I know what you are thinking!Jim...it's just a matter of time...an EXECUTIVE is in your future! HA! not like you JK...I only need ONE SAK!You have at last count about "8"! BWAAAAAA!
Jim

Learned a lesson today about edc a SAK! Most of us who edc, have "one" SAK tool they don' t care for.In my case it is...was... the AWL(SP???)! What the heck can I ever use THAT for??Well today I needed to put a hole in a plastic top to get a stream of oil....guess what was handy!

I made such comments in the past, but give it time, there will be another if for no other reason than you want to see if you really prefer the Evolution 18. Enjoy!

The beauty of SAKs is that the tools have many functions. I also seldom use an awl. My thought.... how often do I ever punch a hole in a leather belt.... not often. But they can be used for other things.

Just looking at a catalog. Has the Evogrip S18 pictured. You can always count on the East TN knife store to have just about all the SAK choices unless they are sold out of that particular one. It is one I want to look at the next time I visit the store. Not sure of the difference between the Evo vs Revo grip choices.

I never really stop buying SAKs.

22,
Sigh,"NEVER" really stop buying SAKS!! Why,all you NEED is ONE.....IF....you keep buying...one day you will come to your senses ...look at all...of your SAK'S & wonder why did I do that!` Look at the REVO S18 ...its perfection!!
Jim

It is a knife from Wenger renamed Victorinox, it is compact, very practical, and its color is beautiful

But it's not perfection! It's missing the metal file/saw, small cutting blade, magnifying glass, eyeglasses screw driver, chisel, multipurpose hook, straight pin, and pen.

O.B.

OB,
Perfection is in the eyes of the beholder!! You "need"all of those extras?? Don't forget belt sheath to carry your BIGGER SAK....by the way....you missed a few....a ruler fish scaler ,corkscrew AND pliers!s
You may need all of those tools...I don't....soooo I'm happy with my ONE edc SAK!
JIM
PS-Mine "does have a saw!

For I am not sure I would like a 3-layer 84mm SAK in my pocket. I intend to look at one next time I visit the Sevierville TN knife store. I haven't visited this year yet, so it could easily happen as part of one of my Smoky MNP visits.

Wished I lived closer to that area..:D Then again.. Maybe not...

Try living close to KSF and see how the knife acquisition budget goes. :D It takes very little effort for me to visit them. But honestly, I avoid it. It takes a whole 15 minutes to get there max even with traffic and I routinely do my grocery shopping near them.

The Smoky Mts.... heaven on earth!
