My Para Military is in and what a geat feel it has, just heavy enough to give you the feeling of strength. The double liners, I think contribute to this.

Just a few observations of my Para; The clip side liner is cut out some to reduce weight I think. The ramp at the lock area is an angle rather than the arc of the Lil Temp. There is no dif in the lock up, it's solid. The lock tab is a bit small compaired to the Temp. It's a little harder to un lock but not a issue. The Pivot pin screws' TORX heads are bunged up, if I were ever to unscrew them there may be a problem. I have no reason to mind you, the opening, closing is flawless. Blade is centered when closed.

How do I like it? I love it, it's the knife I've waited for for two years.
Funny though, it looks like the Big Militaty, but does not feel like it, it's totally another knife.

Would you mind giving some more detail about the Para? This knife looks like an awesome EDC. Would you mind shooting a few photos of it and posting them? I am still unclear on the lock system. Would you say the Paras lock system is better the Military? Which vender did you buy from? How much?
Thanks

Mine should be here Monday.I got it from Sawers Cutlery on Ebay.I think thay said it was #78V,cost was 104.00.I hope I can get used to the compression lock after carrying the Military for so long.

I like mine a lot more than my Military. It is very solid and a fabulous EDC. I like the blade size, shape, and edge better. My only complaints...the laser cutout at the bottom side of the tang, my blade isn't perfectly centered when closed, and the compression lock doesn't hold the blade in a closed position as well as the Military's liner lock. But these don't amount to much. Although, I would like to see or handle some other Paramilitaries to see if they're all like mine.

lunkers,
Sorry, I don't have photos but use the search feature and you will find some there.
Generally, I think a compression lock is better than a liner lock, however the Military's liner lock is rock solid. I would trust it completely. Both the Para and the Mili are winners.
I probably will carry the Para more often because of it's smaller size, yes it is a great EDC.
New Graham Knives. Mike is a nice guy.

Jedi,
Maybe the c lock doesn't hold the blade closed as well on the first editions because mine with the shorter cutout has a very firm hold on the blade. I actually have trouble doing a wrist flick opening due to the strong grip that the detent has. Mine isn't exactly straight in the handle when closed but as long as it doesn't gall on one side of the handle, I don't mind much. I can't say if the Para's lock is that much better than the Millie's but they are different. I think that both are incredibly stout and will serve the user well.
Matt
