First impressions are, WOW!
There is a problem. The spine on the D2 is thicker than the 1095, enough to make it almost impossible to get into or remove from either sheath
Got out the mic's and the D2 is barely over 5/32; and the 1095 is just under 4/32. Is this normal? Anyone else own both?
The D2 came with black linen micarta, and the 1095 has almost green canvis micarta handles. I didnt knowt they would be different. I like the canvis better for grip, but the linen isnt bad.
The blade coating on the D2 is also, rougher and seems ?beter? for lack of another word. The blade coating on the 1095 is almost smooth, with out any grain. Dont know if that is bad, it might make one slice through material better than the other.
The knives are very comfortable in my big paws, wich surprised me and is why I have held out so long on getting one. Both came "hair popin" sharp. I havent done any serious cutting yet so I dont know if its going to cause pain or a hot spot, but you will be the first to know.
