First impressions are, WOW!:D I didnt expect them to be this nice, even though I own a few other Rats.

There is a problem. The spine on the D2 is thicker than the 1095, enough to make it almost impossible to get into or remove from either sheath

Got out the mic's and the D2 is barely over 5/32; and the 1095 is just under 4/32. Is this normal? Anyone else own both?

The D2 came with black linen micarta, and the 1095 has almost green canvis micarta handles. I didnt knowt they would be different. I like the canvis better for grip, but the linen isnt bad.

The blade coating on the D2 is also, rougher and seems ?beter? for lack of another word. The blade coating on the 1095 is almost smooth, with out any grain. Dont know if that is bad, it might make one slice through material better than the other.

The knives are very comfortable in my big paws, wich surprised me and is why I have held out so long on getting one. Both came "hair popin" sharp. I havent done any serious cutting yet so I dont know if its going to cause pain or a hot spot, but you will be the first to know.

Congrats on the Rats....... Those are fine looking knives, I wish to aquire one soon!

They are heavier than I expected. The full tang makes them very back heavy. I wonder if I can get some of the tang cut out, skelotenized. It would probably drop the weight by an ounce or more.

Nice. That is particularly cool that you bought the same model in D2 and 1095. Please give us a direct performance comparison sometime! Love the pictures with it in your hands. That gives valuable information about size.

Here it is on the belt. Rides nice, dont even notice it. It rides high enough that it doesnt poke my hip or ribbs, even when I sit.
