and holly cow what a knife it is! It feels perfect. One thing though, should be a requirment, when opening the package the first words need to be, "this is a knife" in your best paul hogan voice! Cant wait to use it more

Cool, I Have one on the way, and I will be sure to repeat one my favorite lines when opening the package!

Enjoy your new 5 bro!

I know what you mean, the first time i picked up my 5 it reminded me picking up a bunch a rebar, Its a beast of a knife.

I poured over the specs on this and other knives...I knew what I was getting, but still when you handle one for the first time you get that sense of, "damn!?!" when you first wrap your mitts around it.

If you think you got a kick out of seeing it the first time, wait til you go out and REALLY beat the hell out of something with it. Try as I may, I never seem to be able to beat the hell out of the knife...if anything I beat the hell out of me and whatever I use the knife on, but the knife still seems to be smiling.

Spent a good part of last night looking through online vendors with no reward:grumpy: Talked to EMGear this morning and have one on the way :D

The 5 will change your life......and the life of your child......and the life of your grandchild....... :D

The 5's produced will probably outlast all of us. Congratulations.

Welcome to the club. The uses are endless. I love mine and am in the process of a side by side comparison with the BK-2. Let's just say it is not looking good for the BK-2.

I really like my ESEE blades that I have, 3 and izula, but I have a scrapyard scrapper5 SR101 steel. does anyone have a picture with the 2 side by side, would I gain anything by buying an ESEE5? I dont mean to hijack the thread but I am curious because the 5 looks, and has been reviewed to be a heck of a knife!

Congrats. I've had mine for a couple days now and I think it might be my favorite. And I've tried them all.

I am not sure I can help you since I am not familiar with the Scrapper5...but if you are inclined to just call it a "knife" it may not be a fair comparison :D

Mine is awesome. I attached a small pouch to the sheath for a great little "kit". Enjoy yours!

I went and bought my own christmas present (then informed my wife what I was getting) of a new spyderco ceramic stone. I put it on there, and holly flying dog turds batman, it was flibbing SHARP. I worked it over a little on an old arksansas after using it a little. It is a hell of knife

EM Gear is a great company to order from, they have good prices and some of the best best customer service you'll find. They really are great people as Jeff said.:)

Congrats on your new ESEE 5 bro! It's an absolute beast and it loves to be used as it was meant to be. My 5 was my very first ESEE blade and it's still my favorite out of all of them.

I like the grind on the ontario rat 5, no flat portion to het hung up when batoning. Everything Randall puts his name on is beast, enjoy your knife its epic.
