Remember that Fatwood stump that broke my poor little Buck, well I set out today and got my revenge !

First off I wanted to see how my little ML held up prying the same size section as I tried with the Buck, I will admit to being a little nervous here but it's good to know what ya knife can take eh. No worries with the ML, I coulda pryed small sections off all day !

I'd also bought along one of my strongest tipped knives, my JK Hiker, now to get some revenge...

Ripped a chunk out and decided to see if it was good stuff, my Hiker feathers wood pretty good for it's size !

Revenge is oh so sweet!

I'm with you on wanting to know the limits of my knives. So far I have no worries about the heat treat of any of the custom makers that have made knives for me. Good to see I'm not the only one.

Snicker agrees that that fatwood is your handle material for your thin knife idea. Snickers emailed my dog, that's how I know!

I wouldn't have trouble with any of the custom knives I own doing that. There are some production knives that I just feel wouldn't work well with prying though. I find that more because of the steel type used, though.

The reason Snickers is looking like that is because you were caught using a Busse to do the actual work.
