Got my RMD's today in the mail. These were my first Swamp Rat knives and all I can say is I'm glad I ordered two. I got a tan one and a black one, wish I had my camera to attach photos. For me this knife is perfect. Not too big, not too small, excellent quality, excellent price. Versatile size and ergonomics put this knife at the top of my list. It's a good size for survival/camping as well as self defense if need be, and the design lends itself to both. I can't wait to put them to use. Thanks Swamp Rat.

Congrats man, the RMD is as close to perfect as any knife I've owned.... great ergos and tough as nails. I bought one from the original run a couple of years ago and I'm embarrassed to say that it languished in my safe until I got two more.

With three RMD's I can be assured of a lifetime supply or maybe three lifetimes supply's of them. No need to take the chance.

The question is... which one will you beat first?

I ordered one when the preorder first opened and couldn't be happier with it. Great knife made of an excellent steel with a fantastic heat treat.

I recently picked up a RMD also. This one is going to be a real user for sure. I took it into the back yard last weekend and used it for trimming bushes, hacking through larger branches, and general cutting. Held up perfectly.

I picked up my second RMD and Warden at the post office this morning. I like to have spares of knives this good.

Still waiting. :(

Not blaming you, E. I'm actually shocked there are that many people in line ahead of me. Wow! Get out of the way, Rats!!!! ;)

Yep still waiting here as well. I really thought I'd have gotten an email by now. I'm really looking forward to these but starting to wonder.

I've been waiting so long for my RMD, that I just ordered a HRLM to go with it.

It looks like the ergonomics of the handle scales are different from the original release. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

Not knowing anything about SR knives, I decided to do a pre-order on a RMD a couple of months ago, to see what everyone was raving about.

Well, got mine today in the mail and now I know. It is a lot of knife for the money; beautiful fit and finish (in a rugged sort of way), and built like a tank.

I got natural canvas micarta handles with a green blade and this RMD sure is pretty.

Also, I had a couple of e-mail exchanges with Eric to resolve a few things and he was very pleasant to deal with. I will have no problem giving my future business to this company.

I will put it through the paces soon, but from the looks of it, this knife will hold up just fine.

Congrats brother! It is an awesome knife! Wish I had ordered more than one!:D I'd say it's the best feeling-in-hand fixed blade I own!

Ditto on that Skwurll, if I had known the RMD was this good I would have gotten a second one. Oh, but I am a little short on dough for knives right now too, as I am trying to acquire more ammo.

I do think when finances permit, I will look into a SR that is a little larger so that the RMD won't get lonely. I can only imagine what a beast the larger one will be.

I can see these two knives being able to handle most anything encountered and this would allow me to reduce most of my other knives that I procured over the years. Kinda what I did with my gun collection, where I have simplified down to guns and ammo in two calibers only.

I'm the same way! I tend to have more knives than I need, and only a handful of firearms(I'm more of a firearms person:confused:). I put more money in ammo every chance I get. Just try to have replacement parts for the firearms I'm proficient with and roll w/that. Knives are just so damn addictive-will be my downfall!:D
