First of all, thank you Aunt Yangdu for your consistently amazing shipping skills.
Secondly, I hope and pray that Bura is doing better.
Finally, I have to say that this was something of an "impulse purchase". I didn't even remember hearing about a "salyan" model before- although I discovered it has been mentioned a number of times here over the years. I liked the blade profile and I liked the brown sheath and I liked the thought of sending a little support Bura's way. Now that I have it in hand, I've gotta say I am incredibly pleased with my purchase! If it is not the most beautiful Khuk I own, it is certainly in the top 2 or 3. The handle is just a little beefier than most of my other Khuks, and the heft is fantastic. It has the feel of a favorite user, and the look of a proud display piece.
If anyone has been considering snagging one of these now that they are popping up again, I would wholeheartedly encourage you to do so!
