Hey maybe not the most intelligent post but I just got my Starmate and I'm so excited that I just have to share.
And my sharpmaker 204 came in the same delivery. Finally. I like it a lot. Just tried and I got better results than with my Gatco and that on the first try. I haven't seen the video yet since my VCR can't play NTSC but my parents VCR can.
The Starmate looks very neat. It had a lot of vertical blade play but I tightened the pivot and now it is ok if not rock solid. But lockup is rock solid. Passed spine whack with flying colours. But my wardrobe has a dent now
It's a bit too big to become my EDC but I'm sure it will see a lot of carry time, when I know there will be havy duty.
Only one thing really annoys me. When closed the blade touches the handles (only very lighty but still). It's not really a big fault as it doesn't hamper the operation just something optical.
Just my first impression after 45 minutes with my new toys.
