Today I got my clear Comtech Stinger. I was thinking it would come in a package, but it didn't. It's bigger than I expected it would be, it still fits in my hand nicely. I tested it on some metal cans and it left big dents in it and my Stinger still looks fine.

When I gave one to my brother-in-law, I took him outside and had him punch an oak tree with it. He was very impressed by the chunk of bark that flew off.

I should carry my clear Stinger, with the glowring on it so I can find it in the dark :)

The Stingers are truly built tuff :)
Congrats on a good purchase :)

I'm lookin to see how one fits in a kydex sheath that I've heard tell about :)

Congrats. Now drill a 3/32" X 1/4" deep hole in the tip and insert a rounded off finishing nail, point facing out of course. Works better.... ;)

I'm sure that would work, but it kind of defeats the purpose of it, a non-lethal weapon. It would probably be pretty hard to get out of someone too, think about a butt....:D

I think I heard this somewhere in the forums. What you do is stick the "Head" through the belt loop closest to the zipper so that it is pointing towards your crotch, then stick one side of the top handle into the belt loop, and now you have a free, easily accessible sheath. I think that this is a pretty handy.

How do you hold the stinger? I hold it between my index and my middle fingers, I perfer having the keychain hole closer to my pinky.

I have it protrude from between my index and middle finger, too. Think about this, though. If you carry it on a key ring, have the keys on the thumb side. This keeps them handy as is for opening your door, and if you do need to bop someone, the keys rattling around on top of your hand will distract him. (It better not distract you! So just practice a little :) )

... and specifically identified as a threat, so if you try and take it through an airport?
You'll lose it.

I used to carry one and for a while was relatively convinced no-one would know what it was "It's an accupressure device, ossifer".

Now, in the UK, I'd guess most people would see it for what it was.
But hey, adds a bit to a punch.

Did you SEE!!!! They have one with a flashlight in it now!!!

The purpose of the flashlight is really to try and convince the arresting officer that it is a flashlight/key holder and not what it is. :)
