Got my Tomcat II...one problem.

What a great knife! I like the improvments!

One small problem: the blade is off center when it is closed and when you open it the blade rubs quite a bit on the liner.:(

My regular Tomcat, big SOG Winder, Stingray and Magndot don't do this so it really bugs me and would like to get it fixed. What should I do from here? Thanks for the help!;)

It's great to hear that you like the improvements of your new Tomcat, but I'm sorry for the problems you're experiencing. I just had Steve run back to our shipping department (yes, we're dedicated SOG employees working early on a Saturday morning...I've been in since 4am) and do a quick QC of a handful of Tomcats we currently have in stock. None he saw are experiencing what you referenced.

Please feel free to return your knife to us following instructions found HERE. We'll likely replace your knife. Reference in your note that I've promised to personally hand pick a replacement for you.

This is a great blade and I can't make up my mind if I like the Old or new Tomcat more. I think the new just because it still looks great and is one handed now! Add a pocket clip and you have the absolute best big folder on the market! Many thanks for the help! :)

A while back you "guessed" that Cocobolo scales would be available on the Tomcat II, then I thought I read not...
Will they be?
