one is the tom brown tracker , the other is the red scorpion six blades predator.

first impressions

tom brown tracker

the tracker weighs a tonne , and is a lot bigger in person then it looks in photos . i don`t particularly like the feel of the micarta , but it doesn`t matter as i`m having the handle scales replaced with ringed gidgee scales in march/april , the knife will be staying mint until then , then i`ll use it. i also don`t like the look of the red liners , but for some reason can`t think of another colour that would suit it. not black , thats for sure. i do like this knife and could get used to the micarta. its not that i hate the micarta scales on this knife (i love micarta) but it would take me some getting used to. haven`t tried the sheath as it will scratch the knife and like i said i`m keeping it mint until i`ve had my custom work done, which will include a fully custom leather horizontal sheath for it. wasn`t all that sharp either for a brand new knife. (mind you i collect spydercos , sogs , victorinoxs , bucks , cold steels and benchmades , so i have a very high standard of sharp)

red scorpion six predator

i like the feel of the micarta on this one better , plus it has a better weight to size ratio in my opinion . the predator definitely has the better saw . the lack of a sheath is the only thing stopping me from using it. i like this design better only because its closer to the dave beck wsk i badly want but can`t afford . last dave beck wsk i saw was going for $2,100 usd (about $2,700 australian dollars by the time you`ve paid for shipping )

anyways that my thoughts after spending $410 USD to get these two shipped to me here in australia.

anybody use their tracker or predator and have pictures?

$410 to get both knives and shipped to Australia? Not a bad deal at all!

I have a RS6 Predator, and I like it very much. I received the knife just before my last camping trip last year. I got to try it out a little bit, but not too much. I found the knife was entirely capable ofhandling any tasks I asked of it. I, too, find the factory micarta handle slabs to be comfortable, and at this point I have no plans on changing them. The Predator will be my frontline edged tool for trips this year.

My Predator and the horizontal Kydex (.080") sheath I made. The Kydex straps snap on one side, allowing for easy on/off, yet secure carry:

Sorry about the cruddy pics. I am looking forward to playing with the Predator extensively this year.

ENJOY YOUR WSKs!

You can sand down micarta to a custom fit.

My favorite grip material by far.

Skam

I just stripped the coating off my Tracker. It was all scratched up from use and TOPS refused to refinish it for me due to me being the second owner. I covered the scales with rattlesnakes skin and did file work on the spine. The blade buffed up real nice but the surface is very raw under the coating. You can also cover the Kydex sheath with leather or skin. I carry it everyday. I love it.

trentu i`d love to see a pic of that
skammer i love micarta but the handle swap will be very easy
hikeeba yep that is a good deal thats why i went for it . i like your knife and sheath , i don`t even own a camera

I found a few pics of my RS6 Predator:
