Hi guys & gals!

I went to work very early today - in the middle of the night at half past three. I got home pretty early, roundabout half past two in the afternoon and found a little package there. It was sent by Duane, aka sitflyer. He told me, he wanted to send me a little something. But I didn´t know what it was. I opened the package and found a nice christmas card, a handwritten letter, a coin (canadian dollar) and a knife. It is a Buck 112 and my very first Buck 112 at all. Great gifts in pre-christmas-time!

Duane told me, he restored the knife. When he got it, it was pretty down and he added new handleslaps. Madrone Burl - what an outstanding wood with a great grain!! I´m just stunned - that´s the word.

Thanks so much, Duane! I really like the knife you sent me and I appreciate the work you invested to get this knife as it is. It´s just a great piece of your craftmanship, Sir.
The wood on that one is just great and he did an outstanding job on the edge. I can hardly wait to carry it ...

A little fun shot... :)

What a kind and generous gesture, and that's a great-looking knife, really like the new scales Duane, you're a star! :)

Enjoy your knife Andi :)

Thanks for the kind words, fellows :)

As I already wrote; I really like that knife very much. It justs sits right next to me on the table in living room.

Duane - be sure, I really enjoy that great knife. It will follow me tomorrow the whole day! :)

Great gesture, Duane. I've always preferred the 112 to the 110. And of course this specimen is outstanding!

That is one beautiful 112. You are going to really enjoy that knife!

Looks like Duane does it once again, and I am wondering if maybe he has wings (like in angel).

Congrats to both of you!

Great knife guys, congrats Andi and thanks Duane!

Andi, if the edge on there is like the one he put on a Taylor's Eye Witness for one of my Scouts, it'll split hairs just lookin' at them :D

That is a fine knife! I love the looks and the versatility of the 112. The best lockback IMO. Got my dad one for Christmas!

The burl wood looks really great with the ns bolsters. Great choice of materials, great knife, and very nice gesture.

Thank you very much Daune, you couldnt have chosen a more deserving guy to send a knife to-Andi is a Legend!
