And it's awesome. Japanese by Kikuo Matsuda. Bit on the small side for a fixed blade (roughly 3.75" blade and 4" handle) but I have small hands and had a pretty small budget so I'll be a happy camper if I ever take this thing camping. In fact I'm happy just to look at it. D2 steel with G10 handle.

This is my first custom, by Bob Lay;

It was engraved with some dude's name and a custom sheath, and the blade's pitted, but I still have it. It's a real good knife if a little on the soft side. I've used it a lot myself out in the woods doin stuff.

Well, then I got another one by Peter Marzitelli, second hand, did some research, found out who Peter Marzitelli was, by joining Bladeforum, contacted him and arranged for his wife to have a new bicycle for christmas while he arranged for me two identical fixed blades of my design and a folder. I gave one of those fixed blades to a friend and business partner. Then got the itch to come up with some of my own designs after going through a bunch of production knives, most of which fell flat, researched other local knife makers and I found Seth Burton from Saltspring, arranged for him many bike parts and some surfing equipment, and receiving three fixed blades ranging from a 4" blade to a 16" blade, in return. I gave the middle sized one to one of my best friends, who has been similarly generous with me. Seth told me about Jay Fisher, which lead me to the Custom/Handmade forum.

And now...after about 3 years later...I must...capitulate. I am a...collector.

And yes, I do have a problem with run on sentences.

This thread has some great potential:thumbup::cool:
