I must say... wow.. this is my first alox SAK and it just oozes quality.
At first I wanted to get the Soldier model but I need to have a key ring so naturally I went for the Pioneer.
Now don't get me wrong, I have never had any problems with any Cellidor model (been carrying the same Huntsman for 14 years and a spartan for 10) but this is really something else. I don't think I'll ever buy anything but alox again :D

Congratulations! The alox pioneers are sturdy and functional. You are also aware that there are black and red alox models available, possibly for a limited time, right? :D

I'm with Whitehorn, I'd love to see a corkscrew on the Pioneer series. The alox knives are pure quality otherwise.

I think alox is cool, but I miss the toothpick and the tweezer...

Completely agree! I really like the SAKs because of all the real function packed into such a small package. As cool as my Alox Electrician Plus is, I miss the "handle tools". The pen in the SwissChamp has come in handy a few times in the month or so I've had it!

For the toothpick and tweezers I have a classic, for anything else I now have the Pioneer :)
Don't tell me about the different colors I can't afford to start looking at them because I know i'll buy them :D

By the way, the tweezers and toothpick are a new thing for me and I could do without - I only had my classic for about a year now and my Huntsman and Spartan are both well over 10 years old and don't even have the tweezers and pick..

I got one of the black pioneers a few weeks ago and EDCed it thinking "this is THE knife"... then the wife got me a one hand Fireman yesterday for my birthday...I may end up EDCing about four SAKs at this rate;) congrats the pioneer is real beauty.

nice that you all like ouer swiss army knives that mutch.

theyr useful and non treatening tools.

regarding alox, another variant is in the works, an damascus bladed version. also i have make the proto alox 111 oht.

hope that will get into production soon, the damascus will be damasteel and outperform any sak bladesteel used.
