Been using edge pro for years and can get great results with it, but decided to make the jump to wicked edge. Been practicing on a few cheap knives to get the hang of it, 2 knives so far and am shocked how good of an edge I can get and how easy it is to use. Definitely worth the purchase and cant wait to get more use out of it. Want to get my procedure down perfect before I attempt a microtech

Highest grit stone I have so far is 800/1000, think I will order the 1500 diamond stone next, not really interested in stropping

The wicked edge is next level. I’ve been using it for almost 4 years. I love it more every sharpening.

At first use I didn't like it, took a while for my left hand to memorize the motion, but getting used to it now. Gonna do a few more practice blades and cant wait for my first sharpening of benchmade or microtech, have about 15 combined so will flip a coin on the first wicked edge victim

I just picked up one also, haven’t had the chance to use it yet. But playing around with it, no doubt it’s well built.
Never thought I’d spend that much for a sharpener, but here I am.

My friend got into knives and he is well off financially, so I told him to get WE when asked about sharpening.
Then I went down in price told him about edge pro. He was mentioning he wants to sharpen big kitchen knives and was being uncle scrooge
Ended up with a knock off edge pro lol. In few months he bought WE finally and I got to say to him "told you so"

It's cool you guys already know about sharpening getting into WE. You can fully take advantage of it. I like how you can use both hands, alternating.

I love mine after a little practice on some cheaper knives it’s a great system. One of the best investments I have ever made. Their customer service is top notch also

I have the Edge Pro and have considered upgrading to a WE multiple times. It’s very tempting

So glad I upgraded, thought about it for a while. I can get great results with my edge pro but the wicked edge is much faster for me and didn't have much of a learning curve at all. About 10-15 minutes and I got the hang of it. The edge pro took me quite a while to learn a few different techniques to get the results I wanted

Thank you for the input. I think I'll sell my Edge Pro Apex and set aside some extra money for the WE.
