So I just got a Powerlock as a replacement to my LM New Wave that was getting a bit long in the tooth and beat up after a couple years of use. Broke it the first day. Snapped the saw blade in half. Totally my fault though, my stupid ass was prying with it :o Just ordered a new saw blade and the bit adapter for it as well. Other than that I like it. Not quite as convenient to use without the external blades, but the easier one handed opening makes up for it. Not to mention it feels like it's built like a tank compared to the Leathermans I've owned. Just don't go using the saw as a prybar when you work on your car LOL. My only other complaint is that the scissors don't lock. At all. No matter how much I fiddle with it and the other tools that may be interfering with the lock. Leatherman did get the tool lock better, (I imagine the new lock on the power assist will cure that) but I'm liking the overall build and design of the SOG a bit better. I also love how easy it is to take apart to replace the individual tools so that I can customize which tools it has to suit my needs. Awesome job there  . Wish I could have waited for the power assist for the external blades and better locks, but in the mean time I think it'll make a good companion.

I love my powerlock, it is the best thing since my first leatherman. I used it constantly for maintenance work this past summer when I was working before school started again. It has held up well and looks awsome with the black coating.

Oh yeah I definately had to have the black version LOL. I figured out the scissor lock issue as well. The little part right next to the scissor that the spring goes into rotates a bit seperate from the scissors and block the lock from engaging. It's easy enough to move it into place if it moves, not that it's a big deal, not all that imperative that scissors lock into place. I suppose my only issue now is figuring out how to carry bits and the adapter with me all the time. See if I have another sheath laying around I can use for that. Only thing I'm going to miss is not having the real small eyeglass screwdriver my Wave has. I get a use out of that keeping my glasses together. The smallest driver on the powerlock is still too big for that. Oh well.
