Got pretty lucky at Wal-mart

Hey guys thought i'd share a quick story,

This weekend i went to Wal-mart with my better half to do some shopping, and like i always do, i found myself walking towards the knife section. Now like most of you know, Wallyworld is not know for carrying the best knifes in the world. However, they usually have a decent selection of Kershaw and SOG, and since I was already there i said "what the heck, lets take a look!". Like usual there was nothing that truly caught my interest, until i casually look over in this little case that seems to be some sort of knife sale section. much to my surprise, i see a Kershaw Skyline! While this is not anything particularly special considering Wal-mart has carried them in the past, the cool thing was this one was marked down to 14.97!

Long story short, i bought it and am very surprised at how much i have been enjoying carrying it for the past couple of days! Also, it's marked Dec 08 which i find pretty cool.

Thanks for reading!

Al

Good pick up! The last few times I've been there I see a crazy looking blue knife called the Sheffield Haze.
It was originally five bucks but now it's marked down to four! Part of me wants to buy one just for the fun of it but something keeps holding me back! :D

Thanks MTURBO!

I think thats your conscious telling you not to make any "un-rational" decisions! Hahaha

^ Oh boy : "conscience" and "irrational". It was just bugging me. Nice score with the Skyline btw.

Pretty cool snag! I always browse through mine hoping to stumble on a NOS Walmart Spyderco Native, not that that'll ever happen, but a man's gotta dream.

Congrats. It always makes you feel good to get a great deal on a knife. I recently bought a Manix 2 Lightweight at a local Pawn Shop for $20 LNIB and it felt great.

Walmart is funny like that. I was in there a while back and saw Walmart had a Surefire Shotgun fore end on clearance for $99. Who in the hell knew they sold Surefire anything. I knew a buddy was looking for one and called him up. He was very appreciative.

Before all the gun prices went nuts I bought a Colt 6920 at Walmart for a couple hundred less than any gun shop in my county.

I am not into Kershaws, but the Skyline is a solid knife and that price a great score.

The Skyline wasn't your best score for the day, it was walking out of Walmart alive! :D

I got lucky at Walmart once. As soon as she said, "Welcome to Walmart!" I knew. . . . . . . . . . . Oh, that's not what you meant. :p

Nice score.

The skyline is one of those knives I keep wanting to like but just can't seem to do it. I've owned 3 or 4 and always sell or trade them after a few days.

Kidding aside, great score! Skyline is one of only two KAI offerings I like and own. A really good light knife for shorts days.

Getting lucky at WalMart usually entails some sort of action in the stock room...

But yeah, great score on that Skyline. Think about how long that Skyline has bounced around in inventory with an '08 blade stamp on it? I don't think they've date stamped the blades since '09.
