I watch this "knife" dealer buy this butcher knife someone had put stag handles on for 40.00. I had one of my customs a small Damascus para chord Bird and trout. I was going to just show him mine. His first words out of his mouth was we dont buy them. I told him it was not for sale and that I had made it. He said it was nice. But didn't bother to handle it.
But we all know even though he had 50 knives on his table he wasn't a knife guy. But it was good for a few laughs between me and some friends over a cold beer.

My general take is that "Gun show" knife dealers are the most unscrupulous of the lot.
I overheard one telling a patron that that the Cold Steel navy cutlass he was hawking was genuine.

I've only been to a couple gun shows, but I tend to agree. Seems to be a lot of Pakistani crap at those shows and not much real quality. I've never understood how some guys will happily drop $1000 on a rifle, but refuse to pay more than $20 for a knife?!?
