I ran across a full 4X8 sheet of Kydex (.040) for $23.00...the only problem is it's White. Any Ideas on how to add some color?

You might try automotive type vinal dye. I've never used it for kydex , but it seems to me it would be worth a try. Let us know.

Some leather dyes I've used have tinted white ABS. Gave it a sort of aged look that I didn't much like at the time. Only used brown, though. Black might give a nice blue tint.

you mean you have never heard of the white ninja? besides wasn't the kemosoby's horse white? :D hey mabybe the tatical crowd is out but what about nurses, doctors, ceo"s

How about making and marketing an "Arctic Warfare Knife"? Kinda like all the green and tan "mission specific" knives that are currently made.

I built a knife years ago for a buddy who took it to Arctic survival school when he was stationed at Ft. Richardson, AK....and whenever he was in the field, he wrapped the Kydex sheath in white tape.

Fiebing's leather dye works great for dying Micarta. And there are a lot of colors to choose from. (boy, that sounded like a commercial)

Thanks everyone. I'm going to try some dye to see how it works. As far as the artic camo route, it may work in the artic but down here where we hunt deer, it's a poor idea to run around with white stuff strapped to your butt. I think that calls for a TEXAS HEART SHOT.
