ordered two Camillus Heats online: one to give to my Dad for Christmas, and one for myself (i just couldn't help it!)...

what a great knife. even after looking at all of the pictures online, and comparing the measurements to my existing collection, the Heat seems large, in a good way. its a decent handful, and for me, it fits perfectly in my grip. the flipper is also great, and the thing opens smooth and fast, with a nice "snick!"

..not a review, i'm just happy -- i haven't bought any knives for a while. but if anyone has been wondering about the Heat (and you shouldn't be, since there have been many reviews here on BFC), pick one up. looks like a great new "bang for the buck" sorta knife. btw, if anyone wants any pictures of it, just let me know, and i can put some up.

I love my Heat. I am worried about it being illegal or questionable however, so I won't EDC it unless it has been modified away from Robo opening. But with Robo it is so slick!! No bladeplay, solid feel, wonderful blade geometry. Great knife.

I love my sizzle which I brought straight from Darrel. Love the handle and the workmanship is superb

cognitivefun- the coversion is fairly easy. On the side of the knife you will see two screws close to the pivot. With the knife closed, remove the screw on the off lock side and replace it with one of the longer screws you get with the knife. Once it is all of the way in, open the knife slowly and then close it. The knife should now be manual.

cognitive -- where are you from? i live in California, and these guys are perfectly legal. of course, when i open one of my Leeks, the first thing i hear from people is, "you know those are illegal, right?".... silly geese.

I am in Virginia. Our state knife law is ambiguous. I am sure it could go either way but who wants the hassle.

Dirk, thanks for the info. I do love the Robo opening though!!
