The other day, my-nosy-self got me in some "trouble"
I noticed that my cousins car was up on jacks with the tires off while I was waiting to pick him up.
Bored, I walked over and spun the hubs seeing how rusted the old rotors were.
After my curiosity was gone, I decided to wait and whittle with my Adamas.
Shortly after, I looked down at my hands and saw that they were COVERED in freshly-applied 20+ year-old Loc-Tite "Silver Grade Anti Seize".
Apparently the lug-bolts were drenched in them.
It wont hurt it. If anything the "Anti rust capabilities" will help me. But the Grey sticks out on the brown.
Theres a bit still on the handle but my camera wont pick it up.
Its not much. It looks like pencil, and can be seen in the finger grooves. Mainly the right 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th up from the bottom.
This knife is a heavy user so if you dont know anything that will work its not a huge deal.
I already tried using water and elbow grease. Got most of the stuff that was on the handles.
Wouldnt take it off the grooves.
I also tried lightly scraping it off with my cousins RAT-1 blade.
Apparently AUS-8 is alot harder than G10 and it started to dig into the handles.
Maybe ya got something, or pictures, stories of paint-ish stuff on your handles to make me feel better.
