G10---i THINK its glass-filled nylon. regardless, i only have 2 knives with it. i like it, but why is it so loved and requested?
6061 ALUMINUM---can be found on my mini AK-47. is it strong?
GRIVORY---i know nothing about this material at all
ZYTEL---everyone says its so strong. feels like frost-quality-china-plastic to me

G10 is epoxy-glass laminate: layers of woven glass fabric impregnated with an epoxy resin. A lot of folks like it because it is strong, light, and can be produced with a non-slippery, rough finish.

6061 aluminum. It is metal. strong enough to make a very strong handle, assuming it is heat treated properly and the handle is well designed. Most aluminum handles I have seen are T6.
Wiki
T6 temper 6061 has an ultimate tensile strength of at least 42,000 psi (300 MPa) and yield strength of at least 35,000 psi (241 MPa).

Grivory is similar in properties to Zytel

Zytel - "Zytel" is a Dupont trade name for Nylon containing chopped glass fibers. If designed properly, a Zytel handle can be strong, secure, and tough. Typically, they are injection molded (, so they are expensive unless you are going to make a walloping lot of the same handle shape. The molds are expensive as the molding pressure is a few thousand PSI and the temp is on the order of 500F.
