I actually only got 3 new balisongs but I combined 2 old ones (Franken bali):

it's all plastic baby!!:

I do not call this a kris blade, more like a wee-hawk flame blade (next to a 42):

here is what I mean by "wee-hawk" flame blade, it has a swedge (part of blade that is glinting):

the franken bali, like Clay's:

my new (new to me) 45 2nd next to my 42:

This is the proof the 45 is a second:

I am sorry that the picture is of poor quality but the camara wouldn't get a clear shot that far away.

Many, many thanks to 2Sharp for trading me the 45 2nd for a 42. He is a very cool guy and I have enjoyed talkin to him. Another cool guy is mmtmatrix, he is the one who supplied me with the nib 30s (it's not been nib since the day I got it).

I finally received that flame blade balisong (it's the same as the mungo kris at knifezilla) the monday before yesterday (8/21 is yesterday) after waiting 8 months for it, I ordered it in Feb of this year, the company I ordered it from (zoinks.com) closed soon after I placed my order, I was lost in all of the confusion and it took a long time to find the ex-owner's e-mail address. It is very heavy, about 8 oz (like 2 42's) and the blade is thin and the tip bends very easily. It is not sharpened on the back, just the front, the undulations are not in synchronization with ea. other and it has no central line, that is why it is not a kris blade but a flame blade (plus it has a swedge so it's a weehawk flame blade).

So did you notice anything really wrong with the BM45 2nd other than maybe some cosmetic flaws?

Nice to see your collection

Thanx for the trade Cameron!
Just to let you know, Cameron is a great guy, we decided to trade and he went through hell to get me that '42 shipped here, it was more trouble then i could ever had imagined, but he just kept going and updated me all along the way.

Cameron, you're the best. Thanx a lot!

My knives!

I would have walked through hell soaked in gasoline to get this 45 (2nd)!!

I have gone over this 45 several times and I can only find these things wrong with it:

1. the swedge is pretty thick
2. the handles don't latch very tightly open or closed.

Oh well, no problems here, I'm as happy as a........person with a BM 45!!

As for keeping 2Sharp updated; it is just something I think that he needed to know, I'm not gonna tell him one thing and the next time I talk to him say that I've tried 3 different places and he'll get the 42 sometime. Whatever changed he needed to know, it is his knife and he HAS to know what is going on with what he has paid for, it's all just courtesy and keeping the lines of commumication open. Next Sunday I will preach on....

OOPS, I made a mistake, there are some flaws in the 45. I just noticed it while pouring over it again, it's pretty obvious and I'm surprised I didn't notice it before:

some of the small holes are not side by side perfectly, some are higher up than the hole directly next to it, if you were to connect them with a line then it would be like: / (though not that drastic) instead of --
