Got three new blades in trades last week, all with a bushcraft design.

Bob Dozier Buffalo River hunter, bushcraft size, more of a bird and trout design I guess. D2, hollow ground blade, green micarta. Even with my big paws, it feels good in the hand. The only aspect I don't like is the sheath. I am not a fan of the crossdraw loop, the sheath itself is great. I am looking for a sheath maker, might get a Sharpshooter sheath that fits the average bushcrafter. I already have Bob's Wilderness model, and knew this one was going to be a winner.

Spyderco Bushcraft UK 2nd. O1, maple (you know the story :(). It's a shame that Spyderco had a problem with the scales, because this is a great little knife. Well, if they didn't have the scales problems, I wouldn't have gotten mine so cheap in trade. I see the concept in the design of the sheath, but it is a little bit big for me. I would have liked to have seen a Sharpshooter style sheath. The scales are comfortable, and the blade has just the right thickness. I am interested to see what Spyderco does with their new designs.

Dan Koster bushcraft, 3V, cocobolo scales, Sharpshooter sheath. Great little knife. The handle is comfortable, the blade takes a great edge. Can't wait to get out and use it. Looking for more of Dan's larger blades.

Sweet, interested to see how they perform. There are a few *designer* bushcraft blades I've really been eyeing lately, one of them is the Bark River Loveless Drop Point Hunter. That knife looks to be 99% perfect. Hopefully I can put the funds together to come up with some of them :)

Just got a Dan Koster bushcraft 3V, black w/micarta handles as well, from a nice gentleman here on the forums. Great feel in the hand. Performed well on some light bushcraft tasks.
Let us know how you like the 3V steel.
