Hey All!!

Its been a REALLY good week for me, I've acquired 3 grail knives. First, A big thanks goes out to Steel_Addiction,Josh K and Forager for making it

all happen.

....OK, so I've been looking for a Snakewood Large for awhile now, and as you all know they are damn hard to find( for me at least), I found and

paid for one at KnifeArt, just to find out that it was actually sold they just didn't update their site:thumbdn: .Then one comes up for sale here and

it's gone in seconds, I PM Josh K with a "seconds please" and forget about it.Fast forward 2 weeks later and I find a PM in my box stating that

the Snakewood was now available again!!! What luck, and as you can see from the pics its an amazing specimen, really defined grains and patterns

It actually reminds me of a Cheetah more than a snake.

Now...I recently did a trade with Forager for a few knives, including a large Regular with S30V blade.I absolutely love my UG large with rainDrop

Damascus, but to be honest I'm just not a big fan of UG's ( except the Meteor Shower UG). What I've always wanted was a large plain-jane

Regular with RainDrop Damascus. This trade came along and I was simply ecstatic.I switched the blades of the two and now I have my all time

Grail knife :).

Then today a knife I have been looking for as well came in the mail thanks to Knife_Addiction.A beautiful mint Large 21 with Micarta!! Now I see

what all the talk is about with this particular model.I love that its completely blasted, unlike the other inlays. And the Micarta feels really nice

in the hand, textured but not overly grippy. Also i just love how its not completely black, how its kinda snow camo with the lines of white

throughout.

Now one more trip to CRK for double silver lugs on all three and they are complete.

Thanks again to BF and Steel_Addiction,Josh K and Forager for making me a happy little knife-a-holic :D

The RainDrop Reg is my fav as well, and MikeyD I'm gonna for sure do a CR update vid this weekend, as I'm waiting on one for goodie :D

Very nice, congrats.... They are all really nice but that regular with Raindrop Damascus is out of sight (60's flashback).

Beautiful !!!!! You def seem to be in a CRK kick at the moment ;) last year for me it was CRK and hinderer addiction , I broke that habit and now im back on a spyderco binge !!!! I thought if save money but that doesn't seem to be the case !!! Any way this thread is tempting me to go back on the hard stuff ......

Once an addict, always an addict :D

...and with all the goodies that have been in the exchange lately its almost impossible to resist.

damn john, these are beauties. love that large micarta. my grail right now is a small 21 micarta with raindrop damascus. im saving every penny :)

Sweet pickups John. Thats crazy, in the last couple of weeks I also got a snakewood and micarta thanks to members on the exchange.
The grain on your snakewood is sweet. Lots of spots. And the raindrop with the regular profile blade on sterile handles is amazing.
Can never have enough sebenzas :)

Those are some nice knives you picked up. I have a sm micarta that I love and just started looking for a large myself. I think all the wood inlays look great.

You got some nice ones Jon!

I fancy that large sterile handled raindrop quite much!

I will gladly take it off your hands......

I didn't like the ug scales myself but that one on my raindrop really grew on me quickly. I was going to do just like you did and swap the top scale off my large plain but now I just want another raindrop with a plain scale....i think im getting greedy!

Does yours have double lugs?

I want to get doubles but I don't think I could part with it for few weeks.....

Yeah the original UG scales were not too bad, they were really kind of subdued, but I just really dig a plain scale when it comes to Damascus, except for maybe a cool inlay :)

Unfortunately all my Sebbies are single lug. I'm gonna start sending them in here in a few weeks to start the process of getting them all double lug-ized.

Loving the Rain Drop Regular!

Nothing like sterile Ti with a nice Damascus blade..

Congrats on all 3 Jon!
Your collection is refining nicely.
