Greetings All,

I have been a knife enthusiast for many years. Got my first little three blade at about age 10 and have had one on me since. I have always enjoyed Case pocket folders with the old Copperhead being a favorite. Have a lot of Schrades, Bucks, Gerbers, Pumas, etc. got into lockback EDC's with pocket clips about '98 with a Cold Steel Voyager in Large. It was too big. Tried a Spiderco Delica....too small. The medium Voyager was just right. Then I went to the CRKT Mirage 6702L (lefty). All was well, but I prefer tip up carry. Made the blunder of visiting a local Benchmade dealer last week. Left with a 551. Love the knife. Went back today and picked up the 722 Tanto with G10 slabs. Great stuff. Boy do I like these knives. Now when I can grab a 555 or 556 with drab handles I truly believe it will be my all time favorite EDC.

I have truly enjoyed this forum. Great info.

Welcome to the Mad House, sounds like your off to a really good start, after getting a BM, you'll begin breaking the $100 barrier more often, than onto the $200 mark and so on into the infinite madness of customs and rare production, custom productions, it never ends you spend more and more money less time with your family, next thing you know your hiding in the bathroom, playing with 'em, giving 'em names and all.

Here comes my medicine, Ooh double dose, ahhh, I feeellllll muuuuccch bettttterrrrrrr noowwwww.

Welcome to BladeForums, bomtek44!

After trying-out just about all of the "major" brands of folders throughout the years, (including a couple CR Sebenzas), I have found that the Benchmade Axis-locks with G-10 scales are my favorites, with my 805 holding the "top-dog" position, along with my 710, and 705, and...:D...

Welcome to BF. Congrats on picking up a few nice pieces. This place will provide an wealth of information, and any previous wealth you possessed will be spent on more knives.
:D

Does anyone have the BM 732 Ares or the 735 Ares with the green and black G-10 handles. This looks like a great design with the 3.6 inch spear point blade? That may be the next one.......

Up until about 1:00 today, I had a model 730 (maroon & black scales). These are solid, mid-sized knives, and is one of the smoothest that I've ever owned...The whole 73X series is excellent, but then so are ALL of the Benchmade Axis-lock series with G-10 scales!.:).
