Really surprised at the size. It is so compact. I remember seeing the dimensions when I ordered but still seems smaller. Overall it seems pretty solid but am not sure what to think of the convex shaped blade. I haven't used anything other than a standard.
It is really tough to determine the sharpness since their is no visible 'edge'
Does anyone who owns this knife remember the condition of sharpness upon opening?

When I got mine they were like razors. The more you use them, the more you like them.

yeah mine was very sharp as well. i always do the angled paper cut test which gives me some idea... or try to shave some hairs

i actually was surprised at the size of mine too but the other way... it seemed bigger than i thought it would be for some reason

Well it sliced through a full sheet of paper without stopping several times but definately not sharp enough to shave any hairs with. I guess I'll have to get used to the axe like convex shaped blade. Now I fully see how different blades have different applications. I know most people disagree but I am partial to a small bit of serration on a blade.

There is no reason for it not to be as sharp as you want. Fallkniven usually has solid initial sharpness, but sometimes everyone has an off day. I have even seen (rarely) Spyderco knives which were less than ideally sharp initially.
