Just got the new Satin Jack at the knife show, man is it wicked sharp! The handle has a great feel to it and the way the coating is layed on the blade is really different. The top of the blade all around the handle is satin finished while the blade is coated(hence the name). This knife is the greatest compromise I have ever seen in any makers line of knives. It is not to big yet not to small.I feel like I have a steel heart and a basic 5 all in one package.I would highly reccomend this knife to any one planning on getting a Busse but could not decide which. Also met Boris of Banana River outfitters, real nice guy and very knowledgeable of the Busse line,of couse it did not take much arm twistin to get me to buy this knife.I cannot wait till my sheath arrives for this one so I can strap it on and head into the mountains.

Marsupial,
Are these coming with the olive drab nylon sheath with the pouch?????
Thanks,

Chip, I really do not know what kind of sheath I will be receiving,I hope it to be kydex. This knife is so new that the gentleman did not even have the sheaths available yet.

Speaking of a well-dressed Jack, why not have Eric at OnScene Tactical make up one of his fine rigs for that 6" beauty. See his work at http://www.mnsi.net/~nbtnoel/ IMHO it would be close to the best combo going: a Jack 'n Tac.

The hard part is the seperation anxiety attack caused by sending it to him to be fitted.

Shouldn't have to send that Satin Jack in... he will have one to make a mold from real soon, he said.
(Love that name: Satin Jack

Yes, RYU, if it really is a cross between the two extremely versatile models: #5 + Steel Heart, then Satin Jack is the one we have ALL been waiting for / wanting all of our lives. Hey.. a new reality-based daytime soap: ~The Knives of our Lives~
Even i, Satin Jack's Namer, must be patient, & wait...
But at least we know that they're out there now. Come to Papa...
