Well, I got the pass around blades! With school, I haven't been able to use them much, but hopefully I'll have some time this weekend. Initially, I'm surprised with the Salute the most. At about $30 real price, it seems like a pretty good folder. The Revolver, well, it's about what I expected. I'm used to pretty hefty fixed blades, so it seems a little "light duty" to me.

Hopefully after this weekend I'll have a better feeling for these blades.

It really does a great job sawing and cuts as good as any good knife I think.

The thing it does do that most knives can't do is saw.

I think you will be surprised.

Robbie Roberson. ;)

I'm hoping that once I test the saw, I will like it more. I don't think it's a bad knife, it's just not what I'm used to. A good portion of my fixed blades (including two SOGs) have 1/4" thick blades. Compared to those, the Revolver is pretty dang light. However, for my purposes, the extra weight of other fixed blades is good for chopping. With the Revolver, I wouldn't need to chop; just saw! Hopefully I'll like it more once I use the saw! After all, it does seem like it could be very versatile!

I have the older Seal Revolver and LOVE IT :thumbup:

Strap that knife to your belt/pack next time you go camping...you will see how useful it is.
