Got the Scout Jr out this weekend. Thought I would start a fire with some fat wood and the firesteel that came with the Scout. I used the thumb serrations to make some shavings and then proceeded to throw some spark, got her going after a minute or so. Not many pics but you all get the point, it was frickin cold this weekend.

No problem for posting, this is a great camp/bush/utility knife that your customers should consider picking up, I can't recommend it enough. I really like the orange handle and matching firesteel, when starting a fire on the ground sometimes you get a flame going and in haste you set the knife and steel down real quick. After the smoke clears(pun intended) you keep scanning the ground trying to find them, the knife usually isn't a problem to find but the firesteel can be a real pain, not a problem with orange handle:D

Mqqn, it was pretty cold. It was so cold that at first I didnt bother putting my beer in the cooler, but then it started to freeze so I had to relocate it into the fridge or coolers. 10 degrees at night but with the nice fire we had going and no wind it was toasty. good times!

loo...I didn't say it was the cooldest place on earth:D but for my midwestern self thats a bit chilly, I know Im a wuss.

Dang I like that knife. I'm a sucker for orange and I love the Scout Jr.
