Finally got my subclaw when i got home from work today.... this thing is awesome! VERY sharp point at the end of the claw and a nice added touch is the little thumb serration grooves that are on the back side of the blade extend quite a bit down the blade for more utility use, as well as a better grip as you can see in the picture of it in my hand.... where the tip of my thumb is is where the grippy part stops... this little thing could do some SERIOUS damage to both cardboard boxes and attackers!

the rest of the knife is the same as the subcom which i assume you are all hopefully familiar with! this is my new knife to accompany my everyday workhorse spyderco delica.... this will ride behind my belt on my hip every day as long as i can! THANK YOU Chad for designing what is my new favorite knife EVER!

Extremely compact blade geometry...Never had a hawkbill, but this looks to be a candidate for a first. Makes my EDC Wharcom look a bit overweight by comparison!

It looks like it's ground at a more acute angle, comparing the bevels on that and the Subcom. Any comment on that?

Very Nice SHADE:thumbup:

G@#$% why is the post man so slow mine should be in yesterday.:o

It looks like it has a very acute edge. Will be my new cardboardkiller too
;)

cheers

Very cool! Got mine in the mail today, as well. (see this post in the "Subcoms & Rescoms & Trances ONLY IMAGES Thread.)

Nice pics, by the way

Aloha ALL...

thanks for your kind words and pics shade...I am glad you are enjoying the lil' hawkbill. I thought mine would get here before everyone else, since they were coming from Germany, but i had to order mine from BokerUSA.

I been carrying my SC for a few days now, giving my Black Trance a much needed "rest". The SC has proven to be all that I thought it would: A lil' "lightsaber" that makes great pulling cuts! The fine tip is also great for precision cutting, as well as for stuff like splinter removal...yeah, I did yard work the other day, and it kicked my butt. Resharpening this lil' hawkbill is very easy due to the relaxed nature of the blade's curve. It kinda acts more like a "warped wharnie"...just enough curve to prevent slippage on pulling cuts, yet not too much curve to limit it's performance like the "normal hawkbill". I'm impressed with the SC, and it was worth the wait IMHO.

Only one "person" was not too impressed with the SC. 'Neki, a stray kitten that comes around seemed to be like, "Pfffttttt...whoopie...I had a bunch of those from the day I was born!" LOL!!!

For those of you who have yet to experience the Hawkbill, the SC makes for a great place to start. Built solid, great price point, legal to carry pretty much everywhere, easy to sharpen, and "Non-Knife User" friendly. Don't let the size of this lil' 'Claw fool you though...not to insult my friend Mr. Perrin, but it is indeed somewhat of a "legal" Le Griffe being that it's the only hawbill folder in it's size class! So for SD, in the "word" of E.T., "OUUuuUUUuuuuUUUuuuuCH!"

God bless and NOW I know what all you SubClaw owners are talking about!!!

I'm very pleased with this one chad . has a better grind as the wharcom . will come very handy at work and as a back up unconspicousss cary . thanxx alot brother!!!!!!!!!!

This looks like the best of the Subcom family so far. I will be getting one of these.

Now that New Graham has them in stock, I have one on the way to my house. Looking forward to finally putting this baby in my pocket.

I just won a Subclaw on Ebay about 5 minutes ago.Sweet.Can't wait for it to get here.

Well New Graham HAD them in stock, but not at the moment they don't. Guess I'll have to wait, looks like a great lil knife.

I recently received mine. It is my first hawkbill. I am amazed at how well this thing cuts. The only bad thing about this knife is that I may buy more hawkbills because of it. I picked mine up at www.edcdepot.com. These subcoms are addictive.

can someone post a pic of what it looks like clipped on you (specifically behind the belt) for me? thanks !
