Well, it has been awhile since I had a BAIII - and I was thinking that I may never get to have one again. Prices going sky high and demand being quick and snappy.

But I did it - thanks to a superb HOG. He not only listed it for what a feel was a great price but he shipped it out quickly. Great dealings and a fantastic blade.

I just am in love with this one. Prefect size, weight, thickness and feels like butter in the hand. A timeless beauty. :thumbup:

(And its has a crazy green coating and smooth black micarta handle!!!:D:D:D)

Moss green I presume? Thats a hell of a nice knife you've got there.

Yes - its an older blade I believe, but the coating is not unlike some of the smooth textured ones that are out today. The picture does not do it justice.

She is just sweet and I have not been this excited over a Busse in a while :)

(of course as my attention and $$ have been going into other hard assets as of late - I have not purchased a Busse for a while....)

Yeah, I was looking at that one, too. Good looking knife, congrats. Skinny BA3 are the best kind. :thumbup::cool:

My guess is that was an old blade blank that was more recently coated and sold at a show in the last year or two.

You know, that might well be. I thought that such a coating was new - but had not heard of any new releases on the BAIII

Thickness? Not sure - .16 or so???

Either a recent show offerring or a refurbished blade. I'd love it either way. Great score. We need a BOSS version.
 
Great score! I was really drawn to it too, but have more than I can afford now. The BP scales on that alone are worth a lot. Well done.

One of my grail knives right along side a Mojo with euro grips. Just looks like the perfect small Busse to me.

She's a beaut turner, that and the ABA LE are probably my faves. you should post a side by side pic if ya got 'em!
