Well Ladies and Gents!

Ed and me were waiting now for almost one whole month if it will arrive or not. Sometimes oversea shippings are a little tricky. But I already feared, that it would have been lost during shipping. But I was wrong, for luck. I already wrote Modoc Ed, that they arrived today.

While I came home today, a little letter was in the mailbox. There was written, that I could get a package at the local costum´s office about 60 kilometres away. I gave them a phone call, if I can come today (in Germany most authority offices close at noon on friday), but they were open til 4´o clock in the afternoon. So i went there.
I payed my taxes and fees, and here we are... When I opened the package I found two so wonderful knives, that I can hardly stand...

Let´s speak the pictures of themselves!

Here the knives. Behold the two beauties!

The spear blade is great on that one. It makes a very nice appearence with the long pulls and broad tip.

The bone-scales and the shield is great and well made :)

This Forum Knife of 2011 is an amazing piece of craftmanship. I like the bone, the spear blade and whole knife very much!! I will make a very nice and fine user, for sure. The bottle opener is just right for opening cold beer on hot summer days! :)

The Case Large Stockman is a great knife, too! I really like the yellow Delrin scales and the three springs on that pattern.

And a nice comparison shot, made from above - for comparison!

Being honest, the generosity in this forum is outstanding.

Thank you Ed, Sir!! I really love those two beauties at first view. A great and oustanding gift.

Thank you, guys for looking at the pics and reading the story...

Both knives will take a little walk directly into my EDC-rotation...

Kind regards
Andi

WOW, congrats Andi!!! What a fine gesture on Ed's part! It just doesn't get ANY better.

Hi Kevin! 100 % agreed. I´m so happy right now... like a little boy at Christmas.

Nothing better could ever happen to knife crazied person like me... getting such beauties!

Kind regards
Andi

Two wonderous knives, Andy!! Your photography really brought these two beauties to life. The blade shape on that spear is just superb. That stockman is as stout as a junk yard dog. It should serve you well for many years.

Very nice Andi! Kudos to Modoc Ed! What a great bunch of folks we have on this forum.:thumbup:

Nice gesture Ed, Nice pics of them Andi...I bet you are a happy guy today! Christmas in July

Andi,

I'm so glad your knives finally arrived. I know you and Ed were becoming concerned.

Looks like Frank's new 3-spring stockman has a twin in Germany.

Thanks for the great pictures!

AT LAST !!!!! Good grief - it took long enough. As a rule, I don't disclose that I gift knives but in this case (no pun intended) I was really worried that they were lost.

Enjoy them Andi. The Forum Knife is 1095 steel and the Case 3347 Stockman Knife is their Tru-Sharp Stainless Steel. Both sharpen easily and hold a great edge.

Just wondering - did customs on either your end or my end open the package before handing it over to you?

Great pictures.

EXCELLENT!

Congrats to Andi. And Thanks to Ed, one of those who make the Traditional Forum what it is.

Hi guys!

Thank you all for the nice words! :) Both are great knives ... I can´t thank you enough, Sir!

@Ed: No, they didn´t open the package. That´s an elementary law in germany (postal-secret). They just asked me, what was in there. I told it to them, paid the few bucks. Took the costums papers and went home... :) I was also pretty worried about getting the package lost. During the working day, I thougt a couple of times about the package. And today I found the little letter...

@~P. & @Lycosa & @Frank : You are right about saying what is the special feeling here in Trad-Forum. Once more, I was right about the whole community. :)

Kind regards!
Andi

Very decent knives and a very decent gesture!

Big CASE is a classic and the last Forum Knife was the best so far by my standards.

Be afraid Bavarian beers:D

Greetings, Will

Very generous, Ed! And congrats, Andi! I happen to have both of those knives... the 47 pattern is one of my favorites from Case and the forum knife is definitely special -- an uncommon pattern given new life and hafted with Charlie's beautiful peach seed.

Congrats Andi!! And what a generous and kind gesture on your part Ed!!!

Great job on the photos Andi. Both knives looks awesome. I'm sure you'll be enjoying them.

The Trad subforum is a special place indeed.
