Hard 2

Thought I'd post up some pics of this. Took 20 months to order and received it a month or so ago. This is about the most ergonomic folders I've ever held, no matter the grip used. The blade is pure ZDP 189 and is screaming sharp. I really like the hand rubbed satin blade and I went with the full titanium - both sides. The detail on this knife has to be seen, pics just don't do it.

The only complaint I have so far is this knife does not flip. I have seen you tubes though of others having the same problem initially, but after the knife broke in, flipped no problem. I'm holding out hope this one will do the same. This knife is a user and won't be a safe queen.

I'd be interested in hearing from others, did your yuna flip?

I can only imagine the fit and finish...lucky you :)
Just play with the knife and it will flip with no problem....many custom knives have break in period...

Does Yun provide takedown tool(pivot tool) for his knives or how do you open them up for cleaning?
Beautifull knife that is.

Mine flips very well. I adjusted the pivot a little, cleaned it very well and lubed with #10 nano oil. No blade play at all and flips easily with no wrist action. He uses Teflon washers, so there really isn't a prolonged break in. Just clean, lube and adjust and it will flip fine.

Yun will provide an adjustment tool if you request one. I just use needle nose pliers.

Thanks for the info & comments, I'll keep working it. Just seems like the detent is so weak that it isn't going to flip. I do have an official Yuna pivot tool, two pieces of aluminum - works well. Beautiful knife Colog! Love that blade pattern.

It could be that the detent ball just needs to set in or there could be an issue. I had a custom folder where the detent hole was drilled ever so slightly shallow that the ball wouldn't drop in fully. Very quick and easy fix for the maker though.
