the ol lady surprised me with a brand new bk16 yesterday for our anniversary. ive been looking at them for a long time and finally got one! man oh man do i love this knife. sheath... not so much. but thats an easy fix. ill try not to post too much about it in the coming weeks since i know all of it is already old news to you folks. i hope some micarta scales are available soon, if they are please point me in the right direction.

lots of pics are to come! storms passing through town but hopefully i can get up into the sticks this weekend. and yes it looks like a heckofa knife. my very 1st kabar. good times
 
I AM JEALOUS... seriously congrats... I have been eye balling that bk16 for a good minute or two... all I can say is, "SOON..."

im glad to see you guys are just as excited as i am! i havent been this happy about a knife since about 12 years ago when i got my very own swiss army knife for my 10th birthday. cant beat the classics. and oregon fal'er, i live in a rural/country area between the tillamook coast and portland. bout 40 minutes away from both.
 
Congrats on the first (of many) Beckers. :) Post pics and blabber away about how it's the best knife in the world and you'll fit right in.

The BK16 is one of my favorite knives, congrats on the score!
BTW: Factory micarta scales are supposed to be coming out sometime next month.
