Geez I really missed my boat.... now the only thing I can find is the Manix 2 sprint run FFG for like 230 bucks or so on eBay :O Damn! Is M4 all that its cut out to be? Or am I just wasting time pulling my hair and saving my money...... trying atleast ;-)

I like M4 very much.
The M4 manix2 is still available at BBS. No need to pay ebay prices.

Never handled a Bradley ..... nice too see someone else moving the m4 though. I wonder how the heat treating is different between the two. I suppose if one is going all out and getting top notch steel like m4, might as well get the best!

I can't seem to get the m4 manix out of my pocket, but the Bradley is the go to on jeans days. Occasionally I'll splurge and zip through some cardboard, 4 or 5x, always ends up in a giddy laugh. M4 is top tier stuff, but don't take my word for it.. Get yourself one and laugh a little more!

The M4 mules show up on the exchange every now and then, often with handles and sheaths. I picked one up that way and it has worked out well for me.

M4 is my favorite steel, and for good reason it's tough as hell and keeps an edge for a LONG time. just look at what steel the blade sports guys use, 9 times out of 10 it's M4.

M4 gets so ridiculously sharp, it's scary. I can't wait to get my own EdgePro so I can put a mirror polish on my Manix.

Got my cuz a bradley for his bday last dec .I know I'm in the minority but I hate that knife (ergos, slickness of twill cf)if I didn't have extremley rusty well water at my plant nursery I would own the manix in m4 . Have it in xhp and I love the ergos on that knife and grip of the g10.I even like it more then my ppara2

M4 is all that and a bag of chips.

I think the Gayle Bradley is a knife that all Spyderco fans should try.

M4 takes a very nice edge and is a tough steel, but it's not my top choice for a folder. My sweat seemed to rust that steel like crazy.

It does seem to rust pretty easily. I have a lfti with m4 ,I flitzed blade to help with anti corrosion but I still got rust where the lock bar hits the blade just from carrying on a hot day in my pocket . My cousin on the other hand takes minimal care for rust protection and has told me he has never seen rust on his bradley.my cousin actually just re polished it while he was dog sitting at my house while I was away.

Right now the ONLY M4 I have is the Ti/G10 Military.

I sold my Gayle Bradley - wish I kept it. May have to get another one.

Holds an edge very well - haven't tested the toughness yet.

Gotta keep it oiled - especially during the humid summer months.

M4 is sweet steel, but as noted, oil is a must. I got a GB for xmas, and it hasnt left my pocket since. Actually, I'm a construction worker and before the GB I left my edc in the truck with my wallet/keys while I worked and just used a utility knife, the GB was such a beast that I started using it on the job everyday.

This is all I have, but I think it might be all I need, too.

And I'm not sure about these people saying oil is a must... This steel is damn near stainless compared to 1095, CV, and whatever Opinels use. And I don't oil those either. Aside from the pivots. And I have worked with this thing clipped inside my waistband for several 100 degree days, unoiled, with no ill effect. Just don't expect it to stay all one color. If you embrace a little natural patina, you will see this steel is amazing and very easy to take care of.
